Experience

Aidan is head of office and director for our regulated international business based in Jersey, Smith & Williamson International, providing investment advice to trustees, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. He was previously co-founder of a corporate finance business, providing investment and partnership solutions to international funds, trust companies and family offices. Aidan has been a professional banker for over 16 years and has worked in a variety of senior management and executive director roles, including as founder and head of family office banking for a major global bank covering Jersey, London and Monaco. He has extensive experience in a range of areas, for example, mergers and acquisitions, lending, cash management and investment services, strategy, risk management, communications and technology. Aidan has been on the executive committee of a major international bank subsidiary and regularly consults with large single family offices on operational considerations, partnership and outsourcing choices, and banking integration.

  • Founded a successful corporate finance and consultancy business in the Channel Islands

 

Professional qualifications/memberships

Aidan is a certified director of the Institute of Directors (IoD), an associate of the Institute of Financial Services (IFS), and holds a diploma in Financial Services Management.
