Fund administration

Smith & Williamson offers an independent Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) and fund administration solution, taking full regulatory responsibility for the funds to which it acts as ACD.
This allows investment managers to focus on their core strengths and harness the potential of markets for their clients.

Setting up and running an OEIC or AUT involves adherence to considerable regulation, administration and time. The specialist expertise and resources required to administer funds on a day-to-day basis mean that outsourcing this to an experienced third party is usually the preferred option.

Our fund administration team is particularly well placed to provide the range of expertise required in the set-up and ongoing administration of OEICs and AUTs.

With over 30 years’ experience, 170 funds under management with a value of £13.2bn (as at 28 February 2019), we offer an efficient and professional service at competitive rates tailored to the specific needs of our individual clients.

Meeting your needs

Service

What makes us different is how we treat and service our clients. It’s in our DNA to put the interests of our clients first, ensuring our business is driven by your needs. This will be reflected in the tailored service you will receive from our dedicated client servicing team.

Support

We place highly experienced individuals within teams that have the ability to create effective and tailored solutions for our clients. These teams consistently deliver to the highest standards. What sets us apart from our competitors is that you will get to know these individuals within your dedicated client service team from initial set-up through to the day-to-day running of the fund.

Flexibility

We do not impose large minimum fund sizes and our fee structures are entirely dependent on the complexity of the fund and the total value of the funds under management. We currently administer funds ranging from £5 million to £550 million.

Collaborative

Understanding your needs, ambitions and challenges is central to our culture, so we will work closely with you and where appropriate your investment manager and other advisers.
